can anyone tell me the part # of the most appropriate replacement rudder for the nitro hammer. aluminum preferably.

Tower hobbies has the direct replacement in stock for $7.29. Tower #LXCTC1.[ It's not aluminum but it is a quick way to get back on the water. Hope this helps.

thanks for the suggestion, but i'm actually looking for an upgrade. something that is a little stronger, with great handling characteristics.

so i'm just guessing that either no one has an aluminum rudder or else they just aren't willing to share the info, or what?
a little help would be nice here.

If it's a rudder without a waterintake, making one yourself is not so hard, it just takes time.

If there's a waterintake incorporated, that's another matter, you'll need acces to milling machinery.

I make my own rudderblades, but only because a friend lets me use the machinery in his shop....

This is mine (see the picture), i purchased locally in Hong Kong.

I can't remember whether it is a SPEEDMASTER rudder or something local made.

But anyway find the rudder that has the same length as that of Nitro Hammer will do.
