Default Ohh yaaa

well i upgraded my kyosho air streak500GP with a new tuned pipe and a much much better propeller. before i did this, it did around low 20's now i put it on and its flying! literally! i cannt keep this thing on the water. its reallly fast. it jumps up in the air and side to side. Now, i have just have the regular steering equipment. should trim tabs keep the boat on the water? or other turnfins? any sets that would be good for it to stay on the water? ( i cannt even floor the thing otherwise it would flip)
thanks

Trim tabs will help the boat to settle down. Make a set about 1-1/2" wide and 1" long. Set them up 1/16" up from the bottom of the hull and 1 to 1-1/2" out from the Vee.

I've been making my own, they aren't that difficult. Get a sheet of aluminum from the Hobby Shop, I don't know the thickness that I used but find one that is not too thin but still easily bendable.

We have a few that are in the 13 year-old and up area. Me, I'm old at 51 fingers but there are older. I think that I've seen one that's 81! We're all kids at Heart in here. My son started racing boats at 12 but was racing trucks at 6 and getting trophies then.
OK, back to it. Get a nice sized sheet so that you can try different widths and lengths if those don't work out for you. Just keep the holes in the same spot so that you're not drilling more holes in the transom.
