Default has anyone experimented with this idea?

I have owned two of the Proboat Miss Budweisers since they came out a couple of years ago. The first one, which ran GREAT met an untimely demise striking a turtle. The second one, which does run good for a .15 does not seem to have the speed the first one did. My question is, has anyone experimented with replacing the Dynamite .15 motor with something larger? If so, I would love to hear about your experiences. Specifically, what do you now power it with, the problems encountered and would you recommend doing it?

Thanks & hope to hear from you guys!
Pete

Default RE: has anyone experimented with this idea?

Easy motor swap for that boat which will be faster. The HPI .15 SS motor is a bolt-in and you can use the stock water-cooled head on it. Another power trick that I don't know if it has been tried is to shorten the pipe, it's too long. I have a header and pipe that I'd like to try on one, I just need a donor boat to experiment on. One guy that doesn't live too far from me has one, we just have to get the time to do it.
