I would but I don't think the hull could handle it. Its also a little to much money. I have way too much money in that hammer. I love it.

Ron, can you explain the layout of your boat. Where is the fuel tank? Where should I put mine. What should I do about push rod seals? Should I use the flexshaft type push rods? Explain how mine should be layed out PLEASE!!!!!!!!

It goes up under the front deck. For carb linkage, use a piece of rod that has a 2-56 thread. for the rudder, use a 4-40 threaded rod for that.
All I can show you is my boats setup. go here, I just posted some tonight: http://gallery.intlwaters.com/index.php?cat=10008

Hi ejp67, We should start a 'Wild Thing' Construction thread....
As I am currently building the 'Wild Thing' also...
As for the pressure fitting, put it in the tuned pipe at its widest point.[8D]
My wild thing will be 30 in by 9 1/4 width
There is different places for the fuel tank. its place depends on the balancing both port and starboard, some have one tank and hopper in the middle and others have it on one side with hopper in the middle.

Hey, ron I was looking at your pics. The yellow boat, the rudder isn't very far back from the transom. Can I use a regular rudder the the mm18 rudder?

Hi Ron, Do you have any photos or can you explain the spruce strips that go down the side of the wild thing after the hull bottoms and before the side wall hull pieces???? They from the spray rail, I guess???[&:]
"Cut and glue 1/4x1/8-inch spruce strips along the hull's outer edges. Let them overhang the bottom of the hull so that they can be sanded later to form a good fillet between the hulls' bottom and sides." As quoted in the instructions....Just unsure of how its to look...
Thanks

Good point. I have read and read that and don't understand. Ron all I want to do is use the rudder for .18 to what ever they say. The brass colored one.

Hey, it looks like in the pics that the hull sides are already in place. They look more like they are where the sides and top are jointed.

If you look at the pics on rcbm I am almost sure that the hull sides are in place. You have the balsa bulkhead and then the little up and down piece where the hull side is glued to. Look at the pic, the hull side is already in place[]

Do you want me to photograph my plans as an overview to show you the side pieces, but not copy and send you the pic???

The OPS .21 engines put out around 1.8hp@30500 rpm. They have reasonably good performance compared to a lot of sport engines but are not competitive against the likes of CMB or NovaRossi etc.
To be honest I was always a little disappointed with the performance of OPS engines ranging from the 21 to the Speed90. They were smooth but lacked any type of sparkle. We used to get rid of the standard carbs and change them to those made by OS
