It should bolt right in. As for performance, I don't know much about it yet.

towerhobbies has it under traxxas but since it is 2.5 which i believe is .21 would it shake loose becuase the mounts are wooden and the stock is a .15

A 3.5 is a .21. So it is more like an .18 I think.

They have no info on the motor yet, only a comparison against an OS .12RZ-Z. That engine was a whoppin' .56 HP at around 19,000 and change RPM. It was a hot motor about 8 years ago so the comparison isn't really a fair one. Note also that there are no HP and RPM figures. Traxxas had a habit of upping their numbers to unreal proportions but they aren't the only ones.

from my experience with the 2.5 motor in the t-maxx, i wouldn't recommend it for a boat. the thing needs to run at a fairly high temp. and once it gets to that temp, the needle settings get screwy. you should get a motor that is easier to tune and will hold a needle setting. trying to mess with that motor in a boat will prove to be a huge pain in the rear!

this one is speacially made for marine aplications with a few hop ups but ill wiat for more info on it...i have been tryin to find a new engine to put in her, dont get me wrong the stock one is jus fine but i feel the need for more speed and if speed kills then i dont want to be alive lol. any ways it says it has a multi shaft 60% more power then the trx.15,free flowing rear exuast, composite slide carb, and "innovative" porting
