The hull is more suited for a .45 (7.5cc) inboard motor. It sounds like the hobby shop has a 3.5 OB motor that they want to unload.

7.5cc or 11cc inboard a 3.5 outboard would be a waste of time. That boat is too big

42" is a little short for a Zenoah, 48" and longer for one of those engines.
Listen to Eric, he knows a lot more than I do.

Hey Ron I don't know that I know more than anybody. I would agree with you that hull is too short for a race modified zenoah. We are beginning to overpower the 47" Lazers with the M&D power plants. It may work with a stock out of the box Zenoah but I would agree with you Ron that it still is a bit small unless he runs a gas motor without a pipe.

thank u all for your information . the people i ran into raceing there boats said it would have to b a stock zenoah . had a trip to the hobby shop a zenoah is less than half the price of a nitro motor and thinking also as this is my first boat that later on if i change to a bigger hull i can still use the gassa and modify it
