Can you take a picture of the engine area of your boat and post it here? Engines in boats usually have a flywheel. On the flywheel there should be a groove. A starting belt will fit in the groove. Then you use an electric starter motor at the other end of the belt to turn the engine.

You should be able to find them at an R/C shop. It's basically the same as the starter for planes. You need to be sure you get one with a metal starter cone and the cone needs to have the groove for the starter belt.
