Here is the spec for it i for got to put that in the first post.

The hull is 50" long 54" to 55" over all by 12.5" wide and im pretty sure it was made some time in the 70's.

It doesn't really look like a prather aggressor to me but i could be wrong.

I can take more pictures if needed just let me no.

Oh boy, another one to test our brains on!
I don't think that it's a Prather Aggressor as they have a blunt nose on the deck but it's a little hard to tell from the shot. Maybe a Dumas Scarab. Does it have a "vent window" located between the 3 and 9?

There is no vent that i can find any way. I well try and get some better pictures up today. The guy i bought the boat from on ebay said that the boat had been setting for some time. It also has an octura 1440 prop as well as every thing els. It also has a pressure fitting on the end of the stuffing tub inside the hull any idea what its for? ill get a picture of it to. There is also 2 du-bro fuel tanks 1 on each side of the hull. If you need any more info just let me no.

EDIT: well have pics up today the camera ran off for a wile. lol

Id say the pressure fitting on the stuffing tube is there for use as a grease fitting,

That's kind of what i thought just wasn't sure. Also it has "Jack Rabbit" on the side of the hull if that matters.

The "Jack Rabbit" might not mean anything but there is a Jack Rabbit Racing owned by Don Ferrette that is an Aeromarine dealer.
The prop is way too small for a .60 powered boat, it is made for .21 engines plus a lifting prop. You might want to replace it with a larger one like an Octura X-450 to an X-457.

K i'll see about getting a new prop from my LHS. The guy i bought the boat from lives in michigan near one of the great lakes. The .60 ops engines that came with the boat look like the ones made in 1974 so my guess is the hull was made around that time. The hull is something like 14 to 15 pounds with everything in it. It's extremely rigged and seems vary well built.

Also let me no if you need any other pics of any angle or of any part of the boat i just took some quick ones.

Here you go.

I have a new radio box on the way and the tune pipe isnt in that shot.
I no it doesn't look all that great inside but it has no damage or rotten parts besides the radio box.

OK, I'm just trying to figure out the cooling system. I see that it has a water-cooled exhaust but I don't see any nipple fittings on the head.
Yeah, getting a radio box is a good idea.

Looks like Kool Klamps and the engine looks like an OPS .60 from the top. Air cooled red head and you have the two part silver water head as well. Am I correct in this assumption?.

Jeff

Just looked at it again and noticed the exhaust is on the wrong side maybe the case has been reversed or put together backwards.

The engine should look like this, also. Be very careful with it. You will not find oparts for it - trust me, I just found parts after two years of research from a guy in Norway.
If you ever want to part with the engine let me know.

I have that same head to the silver one.

I wasn't really planing on running the engines i was planing to upgrade to a cmb .91 if it well fit.

EDIT: Here is some pics of the engines.

Very Cool, CMB is some serious stuff. I am upgrading to the MAC. 67 for my hydro after it is trimmed with this engine. Keep me in mind if you want to part with some parts like the Con Rod.........
Sorry can't help with the hull brand, looks like it can be pretty quick though if trimmed right and to me it looks like the CMB would fit fine. Not sure if it would be too big in a 50" Vee hull though.
Definatley get rid of the solid shaft and universal hardware and go with flex. You need a vibration mount as well. I made that cross over from a 70's, 60 size hydro. What a difference.
Good luck with your project

IM just building the boat to be as fast as posable. What do you think about twin rudders? What trim hardware would you guys recommend? skid fins trim plates brand?

Thanks for the help and well do.

If you want to update the hardware, I'm a big fan of Speedmaster parts, www.rossisales.com . Kind of pricy but very nice stuff.
I'd stay with a single rudder offset to the right.

Rossi Sales also sells motor mounts. The aluminum that he uses is very strong but hard to drill and tap through. A simpler and easier one for vibration dampening is from Octura, heavier but easier to drill and tap plus they may have one pre-drilled for your engine.

ok so is it the universal mount that i need? If so should i get the standard or the one that is 1/2 inch lower? Here is the hardware im considering skeg strut or would upgrading to a stinger be better? also what length trim plates should i buy? and for the rudder i plan to buy the dual pickup rudder with extended mount.

Sorry for all the ? im new to this boat stuff.

The universal mount should work. The round bottomed strut is the one that you want, the one with the skeg is generally used on Cats and the flat-bottomed one for outrigger hydro's. The Stinger style is a nice one to use also although I haven't tried it yet.
Trim tabs, I'm going to have to go measure mine............

The reason i considered the skeg strut is because it says in the description that it helps keep big monos going straight without additional rudder control.

What engine mount height should i get the one that is 1/2 inch lower one or the normal height one?

Also do you think a .90 would be to much for this hull if so what do you think would be a good compromise? like jw637362 said it looks like it well fit but i just dont no if its to much or not.
