I need help keeping my outboard running. I havent run it in about twe years. First what do I need to do to prepare it to run after a long break like that. I didnt run it for so long because I got frustrated. I never could get it to run longer than two minutes, not even half a tank. was using high nitro fuel long plugs, and even changed the tank and lines several times. What can I do to geet the motor running and stay running.

i would say get a new plug, one used in that engine, get some new fuel, if u dont have any, dont use any thats two years old clean up the carb and return the needles to factory setting, then just tune her up and u should be good to go, o yea make sure theres no airleaks anywhere backplate, head around base of carb etc

The K&B always had problems pulling fuel from the tank in the bottom of the boat. I had the same problem you are having. They were solved by adding a 2 oz. hopper tank on top of the larger 6 oz. tank and piping them in a closed system so the main tank fed the hopper tank. The hopper tank top is then level with the needle valve which is where it needs to be.
