Driveshaft/propshaft angle?
I'm building a boat from scratch. I'll be running 'ye olde stuffing tube type of running gear (no cable drive here heh heh). anyways, I'm wondering what is the approximate angle that the driveshaft/propshaft should be with respect to the bottom of the hull?

Your question is kinda like asking "What are the best tires for my car?". We need to know what kind of hull, how big, and what you plan on doing with it. Is it for racing or just fun running? Answer these and we can help you

RE: Driveshaft/propshaft angle?
Notice the disclaimer 'approximate' heh heh If I ask you what tires are best foe my Mustang chances are you won't say put on a set of 35" mud boggers on that baby...teehee....Seriously though, it's a .15 powered scratchbuilt crossbetween a cigaterre style and a Chris Craft. Will be used for fun running only but I would like to wring out every last mph out of it. So essentially I'm looking for a general starting point.

RE: Driveshaft/propshaft angle?
I have used a mono hull and the plans said to have the prop about 5/16" clear of the hull bottom. As to where it should exit the hull, that's anyones idea.
Hope what little I have given you is of help. Some pictures would help!
Regards Brettos.

Unfortunately no pictures since I haven't started building the boat, I've just so far amassed all the hardware I need. I'll be building from plans but they were originally for a static display model, not r/c.
