The latest one is there is a Top Speed 3 in the works and a release date in October. It has been spotted at a few races and is giving the other hot tunnel boats a hard time.
I won't let any other cats out of Aquacraft's bag right now but seeing how this one has been seen in public but no pictures yet I'm as curious as everyone else. I've got a feeling that it's a reincarnated Villain (not the Traxxas) or Nemesis hull.

The Top Speed prototypes raced this summer are just concept models only. The TS2 will not be going away for a very long time. This is a concept model and different types of hull designs must be tested. As with any type of racing, if you sit back and not be thinking and testing new designs you will get left behind.

No pricing or release date. I can say it will not be this year and possibly not even next year. It is just a concept of trying out different designs.

Would Mr Grimracer himself, Mike Z be in on this tunnel? JD has made some GREAT accomplishemnts, such as teh WOF boats and MANY MANY others, but the TS2 just wasnt one of them in my eyes. Dont get me wrong Jerry, you alwyas were and still are one of the pioneers and best tunnel hull designers/builders, but so is Mike. If Mike was in on this, chances are it is a proto of a villain or nemesis, or perhaps a cross between both! Whatever it is, I see that the wing on the deck looks to be abit further back, perhaps like the villain, and to me the sponsons look alot sleeker then the TS2. im VERY interested in this fellar!

Nope, Mike isn't done playing with it yet and won't share!
With the Outboard Championships coming up soon he'll probably be puttin' the whoopin' on the other guys again.

Like I've told them, if you want to take a vote on lowering the dB levels, do it when all the racers have hangovers! I worked the pits an an Internat's and it was really rough one morning.

I'm kicking myself in the butt as I could have picked up a NIB TS 2 last weekend at a swap meet for $50.00! Needless to say, while I was thinking about it somebody else grabbed it up. I snoozed, I losed.

Does any one have an opinion if this boat will be out for this summer? A would think now is the time if it is going to be this year.

Not that I am looking for a new TS 2, but I notice that all colors show as discontinued on Tower's site. That says a lot in my mind.

well, the ts3 prototypes the "aq" team ran in sc were VERY strong running hulls. very impressive in the turns & straights........ i did notice a transom crack in one, & some doublers/patches (?) on another......... both in the same area the ts2 had issues. maybe some more work to be done? russ, grim & jd were pretty tight-lipped about a release date. but, when questioned about the ts2 being discontinued, they had not comment/insight, as to the timing & possible release date. so........i wouldn't hold my breath. but i was encouraged by the boat i saw !
