dougaldy,

i'm getting low to mid 40's but boat become undrivable coz of hooking and bouncing...i think this dumas will reach 40's and still stable coz the boat handle a lot better...worth to build though[sm=thumbup.gif].

WW,

I agree, its definitely worth building. Its also a nice looking boat when done. That is my next project. I have a green head at home that is waiting for it.

I wouldn't suggest anything too powerful for the Hot Shot Sprint. Boat is too short for that kinda power. A mild mod'd K&B is about all it can handle. I once tried a hot mod K&B and it would just blow over all the time.

well in a few minutes from now, dumas and 7.5 htb will be heading to the lake,,sweettt!, temp. is in 59 oF, dead calm wind..this will be a nice thanks giving day[sm=bananahead.gif].

dumas is getting good speed with M445 prop, got a chance now to test x440/3, x442, x1440, and x640...post later for the verdict

here's the speed dumas got and of course consider +/-, run with stock x442, 40% nitro and stock OS...was not able to compare different props coz i forgot[:@] to put in my toolbox thinkin' it's already there. btw, it's nice to have a big brother, it saves the day in the lake.

overall i'm satisfied of the performance and speed as long as i'm hitting 40's mph, dumas is running on the edge already, 50's mph maybe attainable but it might have stability issue like blowing over.

I love the bench racing. About a month before the snow flies we get together and talk smack about who's done what, and who's snowmobile is going to stomp a mud hole in who's.

A month? Haven't you seen the forcast for later this week? Enjoy the next day or two as after Thursday you can kiss this warm weather goodbye! Highs Saturday in the 30's with snow.

Now play nice guys, or I might have to get in on the bench racing as well. It doesn't help that I have 10" of snow in my yard at the moment either. First time I've been snow bound in seven years[X(] Gives me a good excuse to work on building boats

he has dumas hotshot kit too with modified K&B internal, mod prop, 65% nitro, and hitting 46-47 mph, pretty fast for the stock class.

I no nothing about tunnels or never raced boats but once you mod the motor dont they take you out of the stock class.

as far as i know internal mod is allowed but no mod on carb and exhaust bore, motor and lower should be same manufacturer, no additional part attached to the motor like oiler etc, mods below cavitation plate like trimming is allowed..no no tuned pipe..3rd channel allowed as long as the original needle is attached..i can't think no more.
