I am looking for a different prop to get more speed out of my boat. I have a proboat thundercat and the stock prop is 1.60x2.5, I installed a octura m445 which is about 1.77x1.4 and the boat doesnt have enough power to spin up the prop so can anyone give me some sugguestions??

m445prop is one of the best for tc31, have u tried raising the prop strut?...just keep workin' on that prop and u'll get it.

WW hit it as the strut in the stock out-of-the-box state is too low. Try bringing it up so that the centerline of the strut is even with the bottom of the sponsons. Play with not only the height but the angle just a very little to get it looser on the water.
The M-445 that we tried was what I had handy in my prop box. There may be better props out there but a radar gun showed a big improvement in speed.
He's got a few other tricks that he used on his boat also that I don't know if he's told anyone yet.

I will try adjusting the strut, thanks. Are there any more mods that you know of for this boat?? I have port matched the exhaust but that is about it. I am thinking about buying a different engine for it. I found a .46 marine engine from mecoa they claim it puts out 1.75 and weighs about 400g. The thing that really sells me on that engine is it's only like 100 bucks and has a one year warranty so I think that isn't too bad.

Let me know what you think......
