Has anybody ordered from Dumas lately? I ordered a boat from the over a wek ago through the internet. I keep checking the status of my order on their web site and it indicates that it is processing. I have sent them 2 emails with no response. Has anybody had a similar experience?

I sent them in inquiry about a part in an Email. It took them 7 days to respond to it...

I ordered and received a static model last month. part of the box was smashed by UPS. I called and had another part by the end of the week.

I put an order in for the atles U-1, and about a week later I called and they are on back order for a few months. No email nothing was sent to me. I was told all or most 1/8 scale are on back order.

I love building kits and Dumas certainly offers a nice variety of them. Too bad they don't have laser cut items and had some of thier plans / instructions updated..

I did call them and was told they were out of stock for another 4 weeks or so. The person on the phone was not very helpful. Their customer service is awful.

Just ordered some flex cables with them over the phone and got them about a week later...so that order went OK.

My first order with Dumas seemed to take forever, over several weeks. When I had called them to thank them for sending and it had arrived ok, they asked me what model I had ordered and immediately got an apology for the delayed shipment, and continued to explain their production run practices.

I have since ordered several times again from them (boat kits) and they had arrived all within two weeks or sooner.

Just got a shipment notification today, my boat is on the way. It is 2 weeks earlier than their estimate.
