Default inline or stand off rudder ?

what would be better to use on a 29" mono hull powered by a .21 engine , surface drive. An inline strut / rudder setup or a stand off rudder?

It's my understanding that the rudder should never be directly behind the prop, except on very low powered boats. Supposedly, directly behind the prop does funny things to the handling... Stick it off to the side.

An offset rudder places it in cleaner water and as a side benefit, makes removing the flex cable for greasing easier.

Your preference there. Once it's set up, there really isn't a whole lot of adjustment to be done.
