So Is worth it the $169 I paid for it?
Is there any video out there of a Miss vegas with the .18 CV-R engine?

Yes there are, but not sure were.
myself and a few friends run the CVR-M and they have a bit more HP than the Aqub. The CVR-M has a bigger crank, bigger porting, and better carb, you can also turn better props with it.
I didn't pay $169 for the engine at that price thats for the CVR-MX ( with the pull start) for that price you can buy 2 CVR-M, same motor no pull start.
I use a belt to start it. The CVR-M is the same price as the Aqub.

Yeah I did notice that $70 more for pull start, but that's what I like about it. less things to carry to the lake.
I'm still deciding on wich boat I should put the CVR-MX MISS VEGAS or SUPER VEE hmmmm

we race the vegas over here, but from what I have read the SV 27 is faster than the Vegas right out of the box and with some small mod without changing the motor the SV 27 gets faster. so, maybe the best of the two to upgrade might be the Vegas.
The Vegas with the mods done, a CVR-M in with a x437/3 for prop runs 40 to 45mph.

As to the X437/3...that prop has a 3/16 diamter hub...while a M435/3 has a 1/8th inch hub and already has some of the tongues removed. So the hub eats up some of the diamter increase of the X437/3. I picked up both props...and have another GPS coming...and hope to do some testing next weekend.

if your Vegas flywheel spins true, use it for now, but the best way to go later down the road is with the OS alum flywheel, it comes with a steel cone collet ( goes before the flywheel ), much better than the brass one.
My Vegas, with the CVR-M and the BC Y535 runs 40, terry's with the x437/3 is faster. We are both using the original pipes so like Sean said with a more performing pipe they are even faster.
Sean is also correct that the x437/3 is a 3/16 but Terry has replace is system with a .150 flex, 3/16 stub and a speedmaster strut system, it gives the opportunity to test a wider variaty of props with the 3/16 stub shaft.

RE: Advantages from .18 vegas engine to .18 CV-R engine?
Just picked up a Vegas myself (not here yet). Is the CVR-MX an easy drop in installation or do I need to change motor mounts, drive shaft, etc.? Also, for any vibration, can I use the SuperVee blue-anodized engine mount on a Miss Vegas? I'm thinking of unloading my stock .18 on eBay and getting a CVR-MX. If I do need to mod the boat to accept the CVR-MX, wouldn't it be better to go with a .21 cost/hassle wise?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Sean is correct,
you can always later on drop a .21, but there is more to it that meets the eye.
