OS .18 CVR marine
I am just wondering if anyone knows why the heck the engine is double the price if I get it with a pullstart?

I can almost buy the cheaper one and turn it into a pullstart version for less if the crankshafts weren't different.
This is my only nitro boat so I don't have the belts, torque starter, or battery that would be needed if I went with the non-pull .18. I know for the amount I would save by going non-pull would probably pay for most of that stuff but, I don't really like the idea of having to pack all the extra gear with me. Pull starts have been good to me on my cars and trucks so I guess I'll get the pull start version...I just can't believe how much more it is.

RE: OS .18 CVR marine
There are a few other parts that need to be bought in order to make the nonpullstart motor into a pullstart motor.
O.S. Rear Adapter .18 CV-RX 9.99
O.S. Start Shaft .18 CV-RX 10.99
O.S. #5 Recoil Starter Assembly 36.99
O.S. #5 One-Way Clutch 23.99
Total 81.96
You also may have to buy the screws.
Add that to the cost of the nonpullstart motor 84.99
Total for build 166.95
Pullstart version 169.99

RE: OS .18 CVR marine
Yeah you came in under the pullstart price but forgot the other $38 for the crankshaft. That is what I did and was confused that I could actually peice together the engine for cheaper...not quite, but, pretty close.

RE: OS .18 CVR marine
I didnt look at 100% of the parts in the parts lists...but the ones I did look at, had the exact same part number between the two...

On cars and buggy's your not running wide open near as much as a boat, the one way bearing will take a dump much sooner at extended high rpm. a simple flight box with your battery, starter and tools maybe some glow plugs, screws, props, flex shaft ect. ect. ect. also a power panel with a glow driver is great to have, youll look like the real deal man ,boat in one hand field box in the other. you dont show up to a gun fight with a pocket knife do ya.
