Hey guys; if anyone out there has encountered this problem or another like it, please get in touch. I have a Kyosho jet stream nitro, which I've been fixing up. All of the parts are original Kyosho and even though the engine is strong and the driveline is solid, the boat won't go any faster than a walking pace even at full throttle. Do I need a bigger prop? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated; thanks!

No, you need a better prop. The stock Kyosho props are pretty bad so swap it out for an Octura X-437.

Give her a decent hard toss when launching your boat. I'd say 75% of the time it's new boaters not launching the boat hard enough to get on step.
