I just fried my receiver in my Proboats Miss LLumar, and I wanted to know what you all thought was the best replacement while still being slightly cost conscious. I definately don't want the cheapest, as I beleive that is what I have already experienced in the Python radio. Also, where is the best place to purchase said radio?
Thanks,
Thanks,

I run the Hitec SRX 75mhz FM radio in all my boats. Not too bad, only about $100-130. I used the Hitec Aggressor FM before (same recievers) with no problems but i switched to the SRX since it has 10 model memory so i can use the same radio for everything. You can get the Aggressor for like $80. You can get both from Tower Hobbies, or from many companys on Ebay.

Proboats Miss LLumar
I found that the MISS LUMAR comes with a JR XR3i radio system , which , BTW - is NOT a cheapo radio system - ( not that that particular boat deserves such a fine radio as that ... ) and the SHOCKWAVE came with the Python ..
Also - that PYTHON is NOT a bad radio at all .
How did you fry it ?

Some of us just have an adverse reaction to cheaply made, poorly designed wanna be's. When you figure that Horizon had to go through two Buds, a Llumar and an Elam just to get the hull cosmetics right with the Formula, it says something. It says even more(or less for the manufacturer) when the boats need to be seriously modded just to get them to run half way like a hydro.
