Miss Vegas question?
Hi I am looking to blueprint and paint my Vegas boat, I got everything stripped except the copper stuffing tube. What is the best way of getting it out, there is alot of resin or epoxy where it enters the hull, does anybody know a good way of getting it out without destroying it? or is destroying it the only way to get it out.
Thanks
Thanks

RE: Miss Vegas question?
It may not come out on the first try but it will come out.
Thats how we take ours out without busting the epoxy around it.
Don't grab it with your hands, use gloves or something.
Do you want to replace that stuffing tube???
if not leave it there.
Dan.

RE: Miss Vegas question?
I want to try and keep it, its off a 2nd generation Vegas so it has the bigger shaft, It wouldnt kill me if I have to replace it, but I dont want too. Im trying to get it out so I can block sand the entire hull and its in the way.
Ill keep trying the heat gun

RE: Miss Vegas question?
The part of the hull that's in the area of the stuffing tube doesn't make contact with the water, and therefore really doesn't need any special treatment. The sponsons are the critical area.
