Default .12 Rigger Strut Setting

Hi Guys, I know it's mostly trial and error but just wanted a few opions on the strut setting I am running on my .12 rigger with a OS CV-R.
Running a Grim 36x55 prop
Blazzin down sized to 21" about 3" wide tub.
Strut is flat, left sponson is 1/4" off setup board and right is 3/8".
Boat seems to run great but always looking for improvements, or ideas..
THANKS
Ralph

The strut might be able to go a tad higher but where you'll see the most improvement is with a larger prop. Mine was turning a Prather 215 with ease and made it a very driveable boat. An Octura V937/3 gave killer speeds but made it harder to launch and the speed had to be kept up.
The top of the rudder blade might be dragging you down a little also. It's not easy to get a rudder to fit in that tight area.

I have had problems turning a 215, if I try the again 215 should I go up on the strut or down ? Or leave it where it is ?
THANKS

Not sure how this goes but I am trying smaller props. I was told to try props 40mm or smaller. I use to run a Grim 40x53 or a 215 and even an x440. This new boat I am running an x637 runs good and v937x3 runs very good but boat seams to want to walk on the prop so makes it a little tough to drive. I still need to try a 1938 and a 20 or 2138 don't remember, I was told the key to these little boats is RPM's. With my pipe an inch long I was finally breaking 50mph, I should be a little faster since the pipe has been cut down

Yes RPM's is the secret that's for sure.
