ok well i am new to this nitro boating stuff like i said in my other threads.
i just got a new K&b 7.5 pro the woman at the hobby shop who is an ex nitro boat racer said to break in the motor in a bucket full of water. ( al's hobby shop in elmhurst illinois)
now the old motor that i rebuilt just to make sure it ran (i did not replace sleeve or piston so i did not need to break in) i put it in the bucket and water was everywear. what kind of ideas do you guys have?
or is this just a bad idea all together for break in?

Bad idea all together.
Best method is to mount the engine to your boat and go at the pond or lake and run it for a 5 or 6 tanks breakin period (follow breakin instruction).
I know there are people that break there's with a jug of water hooked up to the engine, others with a garden hose, some in their bath tub...etc etc etc...
All this is looking for trouble regardless if a person has been doing it like this all his life. it is not the proper and correct way to do it and it is giving out bad advice.
but hey, thats me.
enjoy your new engine and whatever method you choose have a good time.

You talked to Cindy didn't you!
That's bad advice from Cindy but she races some fast boats.
Water can't flow through the head of an engine that isn't moving and yes, trying to do it in a bucket of water does make a mess. Don't ask me how I know...........
Try just running it at the lake, that's your best bet.
