Default Prop balancing

How do you do it ? Can a make a stand and run a small rod through the prop and spin it to see the side that needs trimming ? Also , can this be done using a dremel ? I`ve had a few boats but never had to buy props before . I have a Dumas Hot Shot Sprint 3.5 and have a K&B 3.5 coming , but it has no prop . I know there is a prop designed for this engine , which one ? Can I put different props on to get more speed ?

Thanks for any help , Brian

Default RE: Prop balancing

There are around 6 good props for that engine and hull. The Octura X-440 is a good place to start with the 437, 438, 637 or the Prather 215.
Go to the top of the Boats General Discussion forum and there is a good thread with a lot of links to show you what you need to know.
