RE: rtr hydro
I like my proboat because it looks more real, like the unlimited! Vegas doesnt....[] Vegas has hull issues too..to thin/flimsey.It's longer then the proboat.I didnt have to hack up my proboat to run a.21 in it.Now the new Oberto is hacked/moded to the tilt lightened up in some areas and has a rear trunk/rear hatch/compartment for a rear wing servo and could put a GPS in there too. Also has working front spoiler too,cut out the windows to put clear windows in it with a mini steve dave in the cockpit..Has moded sponsons runners with steps and rear ride pads and center V like the real Oberto has.By doing all this might make the boat perform better+go faster with these mods..Now the new FE unlimited light that grim design looks like a great winner.looks more real, like the unlimited lights.!!! Like to get just a hull too run a nitro motor in that hydro!!

RE: rtr hydro
has been done but not that fast.. Your better off to get a .21..21 are better and more powerfull then the.32 plus you'll get faster speeds with the .21 then the.32's.

If you want to go with an engine bigger than a .21, go all the way up to a .45 and look at a Sport 40 hull. The catch there is you will probably have to buy the hardware separately, but for higher speeds and a boat that can handle it, that's my recommendation

That thin flimsy hull is part of why a vegas will run circles around the proboats right out of the box [ gee I hope I'm not bashing anybody and get this removed]

RE: rtr hydro
LOL!!Ha Ha Ha veryfunny F16man!! There a guy on INTLWATERS moditfiying the vegas hull to make it stronger. But I bet after its done it will weight as much as the proboat or more..Yes the thin hull and better motor beats the proboat.. I'd ran a.18 vegas motor in my proboats and there faster then the.15's...If you put that vegas.18 with a adjustable strut on the pro's it might be different in running in the races alittle bit more tighter in the races.[8D] Going to cut off that nose off of my vegas and put a nose like grims boat has.. It will improve the looks greatly too!

Iwas talking about right out of the box, the only time you are going to have a problem with the vegas is when you hit something, some minor stress cracks after time but no big deal.

RE: rtr hydro
F16man you forgot the vegas has proublems too.. Heres alist.. Flex couplers are junk, arent turnning true. Fuel tanks are junk, air leaks around the flip lid plus the tank seams like to leak too. Exaust coupler blows out. Radio system are junk are known to glitch. Hulls are thin like to crack around the front cowl. You need to brush epoxy around the motor area to stiffened it up.. If I had to do this over again on getting a hydroboat. I wouldnt touch both of them. I like to proboats for the looks and vegas for the speed.. But would get a better hydro like hydrojunkie said..
