Default New Engine, Piston Sticking at TDC??

Just bought a NIB O.S. .46VX-M. With the glow plug removed, the piston sticks a bit at TDC when you turn over the engine by hand. The piston moves freely otherwise. Is this normal for a new engine??

Thanks.

Most sleeves in nitro engines are taper bored, only a few like the Soviet-made Kalistratov have straight bores. When the engine heats up the sleeve will expand in the combustion area then loosen up. After your break-in period you will feel it loosening. Until then you may have to loosen the glow plug if your starter doesn't have enough grunt to it. Tighten it back down once it's fired.
