1 gal sparklets bottle with a pressure fitting at the bottom. fill it up with water and let gravity do its thing. I have a mini spring clamp to regulate, turn on/off the water.

One little tip on the tips of the sponsons that I didn't discover until I built the ones for my JAE .21. To get them to match as close as possible (on the .21) I found that most dispoable ink pens (Bic ot Write Bros.) fit inside the tubes. A drill bit or something similar can be used in your case. Anyway, place the sponsons next to each other with the outsides of them facing in then you sand sand both to shape at the same time. You can also check the rear overhangs on the sponsons at the same time to make sure that they're also even there.

hybrid engine so far, TRX 3.3 have been kicking around the idea of making my own carbs and its not so hard of a thing to do BUT I have enough testing to do with what I have so far, adding a home built carb to the mix at this point having never done it before is not in the mix, but if testing goes well Its on! Went with the K&B gold carb as it falls close to what im after in numbers , that and I love the gold, black, and red K&B's simplicity by design OH and before it gets asked the K&B is not a direct fit to the 3.3

Ill make one of the flywheels I have around here work, and yes I already have a collet, octura sells lots of shaft/thread combos, TIP, the electric collets have a smooth bore, meaning no threads so can be made to fit, just have to get the tap centered and straight

I ran into a problem trying to mount the 1st version hardware I got from Joe@Zippkits. The rudder tiller arm hits the strut bracket and there is no room left for the pushrod. Wonder if I can leave off the right side strut bracket without causing it to flex when running it ?? John D..

Yes you can. Make sure the two strut bolts are reinforced on the other side with large washers, hardwood, fiberglass, etc...

Your strut looks like the .21 size. The Z.12 strut weight is 16 grams. The Octura strut was way heavy 30 some grams . they sit very low when dead in the water. Ck your weight. I have a extra .12 strut. if you want. give me a PM if you want it..

like above yes you can use one side of the bracket, all the strut does is hold the stuffing tube in place, Ive know several monos that do not even have a strut or stinger, basically just a doubled up stuffing tube, bend to adjust and works fine, infact I know of a couple earlier gen seaducers that are still running strong using that type of set-up

Simple solution; move the rudder linkage hole in towards the rudder than cut off the excess so you have room. You're going to end up with the tiller arm short but you're also going to be reducing the throw on your EPA's anyway as it doesn't take a lot to turn these boats.
You can raise the rudder up a lot higher also as you don't need that much in the water. Who, knows, you could end up by trimming a lot off the bottom of the rudder also, just below the pickup.

Has anyone else besides me, had a problem of supporting
the end of the tuned pipe?  The end to the tub is the problem.
Either I have to compromise the integraty of the radioi box seal {tape}
or mess up the grafics on the tub side. I am sure one  of you  has come
up with a better idea than I can think of.

I did have some problem until used a snap tie to hold the pipe over the header. Rubber grommet came from Loews . piano wire. I also added a 1/4 wood block inside the engine bay, zip -tie tru hole in hull to circle on end of wire. the slot in the hull is close to the throttle linkage. No problems yet

What are u guys using to mount your tuned pipes to the hull?

Just released that's what we were talking about lol. I've seen people use metal bands with rubber to insulate the pipe. Probably something u can get from a hardware store?

I have two holes to pre-drill for my turn fin and I can seal the sponsons in mine..Not sure what im going to do in the tub just yet so it will be sealed later as I want everything pre drilled before I seal it up.

I sawed it second!
Note the tuned pipe length as that's really close to where mine is set at, the divergent and convergent cones just ahead of the bulkhead. I studied some shots that I took of Rod Geraghty's boat to set mine.

dude those couplers are the bomb!!!!! its a hose company out here that makes them. i can get you a foot of it. had the last one on my other boat for 3 years. they dont melt, stain, tear, rip, leak... nothing! hold very very well. high temp high pressure, not your ordinary hose....

Little fine grit touch-up sanding left to do then Ill seal the sponsons most likely wont end up using the wood radio box cover but using a piece of dyed lexan..
Just cant get in the mood to set down and work on it but it will get done sooner or later lol

Octura sells a long and short 5mm / .150 collet, Figure I would toss that out there as I know most do not know, their 100% the same except the fly-wheel side or the hex is shorter.
Lookin good fishy!
