The only difference between the two is the hull so that's where you have to choose. I'm partial to Cat's myself.
It's kind of well-known around here that I'm not a fan of Pro Boat boats but frankly both of these took me off guard as they're not really that bad for the price. There are things that I'd do to improve them at little to no cost that the factory could have easily done themselves.

i have the tc 31 its a good little boat for what it is there are a few isues with it but nothing major but i havent seen a rtr boat that dosent have its share of problems out of the box as far as witch is better what kind of hull do you like cat or deep v i think the tc 31 is a little faster out out of the two go over the boat when you get it change the fuel tank the stock ones tend to leak at the fitting in the bottom of the tank haave never had any problems with the engine other thaan settings were way out when i got mine bit it was also used fun little boat

Yea I would go with neither. I had a TC31. Motor lasted about a gallon of very conservative running. Fuel tank leaks. Some other annoying problems. I would find something else. But if those were your only options, get the TC31. When it does run its fantastic.
