I have a tunnel hull with a os outboard. I'm trying to set up the throttle. When the boat runs left it puts strain in the throttle servo and pulls so stearing is slow. When I turn right the slack pushes and the motor slows down. How are the outboards set up not to do this. It's very fustrating.

you need to make a cable holder that clamps the cable so it dosent change lenght i made mine out of a pice of brass i had and a bice of fuel tubing atached to the yop of the crankcase this has worked great for me on the K&B 7.5 should also be good ob the os you have

I replied to your thread on RCG but the OS should have a black plastic clamp to secure the cable cover. A little crazy glue helps stop it from slipping.

Hi
Make sure you have enough lenght on your throttlecable for steering, lay down the cable in some small S shape inside your hull.
All OS outboards have a cable holder, you will need this. I have thicked up the end off the cable with a pice off pipe
so it will fit tight in the cable holder. (fix it with CA or 5min epoxy) For throttle cable I have used the "Sullivan Gold-N-Cable"
Good luck
