Default Turn fin 101

I got my Zippkit .21. I have been working on the turnfin I started with my bench grinder first.GO SLOW KEEP COOL Went to my grinding wheel on my Dremel.keep cool Moving on to my hand files ,Use a good light source.LET IT COOL DOWN. work safely glasses when needed Finnish with wet& dry sandpaper and elbow grease.

I've found that just using a large flat file that it does a nice job. Not too many people discuss how to sharpen one. I learned a long time ago that all they really need is about a 45 degree angle on the front as that seems to cut into the water better.

I also learned along time ago,fins are like feathers on a arrow. you need a certain amount of drag for it to go right.

That could be a nice little project for me at work this week. I have nothing to do so I'll probably have to drag a few things into the shop to kill time with.

Yes, they're bent but not sharpened.
