Default repairing fiberglass soaked with nitro

what is the best way to repair soft fiberglass that has been soaked with nitro i have sanded it down but there is still the pink stain of fuel in the glass will the epoxy still stick if there is any fuel left in the glass as i dont want to make a bigger mess to clean up can i use acityone to clean it up and let dry for a few hours in the sun thanks for any help

Use a good degreaser, or even dish soap and a scrubber BEFORE you sand! You will get most of the oils out this way.

You will most likely have to clean it a couple times before you can get anything to stick to it. Make sure you give it plenty of time to dry after cleaning. I normally set it out in the sun for a day.

use purple power degreaser then after it drys out then whipe it out with lacqure thinner,then you good the go to sand it.
