I'm getting used to saying Great Job Toast Joe will have his chest pumped out showing them hulls off.
I started my 45 twin build, I want to change the nose. Just me [8D]

LOLI know.. I personally like the wood look to.. (I am a woodworker..) but these 4 boats are for Joe and zippkits to display at shows... he is the boss and the customer is allways right...I would paint pink if thats what was asked!!!the JAE .45TWIN is staying natural and so is the JAE.45....Thanks for the nice words tho!! I can build you one all natural if you like...

I started to work on my 45 twin Zippkits rigger build. I can do my brass driveline and radio box layout. I also have the 45 Zip to seal and paint. Painting the sponson's and top of the tub. everything else clear.
Pigment will add weight. I want to be able to see the hull during a race. At them speeds any dead boat can be damaged easy. Speed kills

I know the stuffing tube and shaft tube is put in first but remember that these are for display and will never have engine or driveline installed.... so as far as to the dia. not sure you will have to ask Joe.. I didnt get any for these boats.. Joe found hiis way here and picked up boats and is on his way back to your end of the woods... another happy customer!!!Thanks Joe!!

Thanks Toaster!
Awesome craftmanship on these boats for sure.

Neil, the 45 twin does not get any brass tubes in the tub. The brass and aluminum will form a permanent bond, unless you remove the boom tubes after every run...
Just a tiny bit of silicone around the front tube to help seal it to the tub, but still be removable if needed.

We like and use boom tube collars, even on the 67 and gas boats...

Yes Roger the dia of the stuffing tube. the 1/4 " seems small. I do have 5/16 or 3/8 bras pipe. The single 45 build has hardwood under the boom tube. So I am able to remove the boon tubes No clamps Screwing the boom tubes to the hull.
I knew they were to display ,So no drive-lines for display.
I'm in no hurry to finish the 45 twin. I do not plan on racing the twin hull. Just thinking out loud.
And to keep my tread going Here

not positive on this but I would have to assume that you would use a .45 size flex shaft times 2...

If you use a 3/16 shaft it would be 1/4 inch brass tube... Always.
If you use a 1/4 shaft it would be 5/16 inch brass tube... Always.

That amount of clearance has been proven by tens of thousands of runs to work well.

Nice build! [8D] Yes, the H-7 is a good prop. My Zippkit .21 is fast with it. A stock Novarossi .21 5-port pulls it easy.

Here is where we are at with our larger driver stand and CD station. The CD station will be completely enclosed from the weather and measures 8 feet x 10 feet. There will be a length of 24 feet for the drivers.

we found that the lower the strut ,the better. Look were the wood ski stops ,at the front of the strut. My stuffing tube is resting on my ski .Your prop will grab more water.

Very thanks to Neil and Blackout to provide useful information ! !
My ski and strut only 1.5m.m. distance ( because I get rid of the bottom of the strut )

I have some 20 years ago, wood 3.5c.c.Hydro photo[/i]... It would be " JAE " predecessor here > > > Ha.ha
