I will be the last one to tell you thats not possible with a .18, I'v done it and then some (but with a bigger prop),, I will say it's a little on the high side for a Y535prop, that TZ had to be SCREAMING with that small a prop.
Where did you have the GPS Mounted???

Wish you were taking Vids and Not Pics of it,,,LOL,, I always love to see a fast .18 Hydro vid[8D].

I also believe it. My vegas was in the mid to upper 40's with a CVR and the same Y535 prop. (I never had it on GPS, but a guy we run with had GPS in his tunnel hull, at 43 mph and I walked right around him with ease) It just didnt have anymore with that prop, and I hadnt had time to test others. Then lost radio communication and now she is toast Oh well, fun fun fun little boat while it lasted.

A properly setup MVD should go that fast.....so I believe you as well. Just got done breaking in my SV 27 with an engine similar to yours. I am going tovisit a relative this weekendwho also has a MVD but all stock...and I am his mechanic/goto/trainer for his boat. It is all stock, but when I get done setting his up, then we will weigh options to go faster using thisthread as a reference for possiblities........like Amax said....vids would be nice........

I've had a lot better results with a X437\3 or a M440 or Zippkits 440. But not with a TZ Personally but know a few that are running the TZ and spining the 437\3 prop.

53 for me in my setup.......but turned it down some, you cant possibly race a vegas at that speed, on the edge with 5 other boats in 10 mph winds...gps runs are good for testing and mak speed, but ACTUAL racing is a different story.....My opinion.... when I lost my gps...i never looked for another one....its not something that I use anymore as a tunning tool.

Your not getting an accurate reading on the GPS unless it has a CLEAR View of the sky, especially the LOGO as most GPS manufacturers put the Antenna under the LOGO.

I have never clocked the speed on my Vegas but it does scoot along pretty good and I am guessing on a good day it runs high 40's in race trim, it has a mod super tigre 18 and a proboat pipe, turning an x 637 . Here is one of our district race vids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XVNAxM3Duk
