Default Replacement for Pulse 125?

Anyone found a good replacement for the H9 Pulse 125? It is a shame they discontinued it!

I was thinking about Sig's 4 star 120...anyone else have any suggestions? I would like to stick with a DLE20 for power if possible.

Thanks in advance,

Jerry

Tailskid,
The Four Star 120 and the DLE 20 are perfect for each other. Follow the link to a thread with info regarding the combo: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/kit-building-121/3566766-4-120-build-thread-32.html#post11801915

My experience is about half way down the page...

Thanks for the link R/C......I've been eyeing one of these for quite some time....I have a 'friend' who has a new Pulse 125 but he wants $300 for it and if I purchase the kit, I'll have 6 months (and an extra couple of hundred) of fun putting it together...and let's face it, I'd rather build if given a chance.....

Jerry

PS i liked your color scheme....what prop were you using?

Don't let anybody tell you that you need a DLE 30 in the front....I can go vertical forever with the DLE 20...Everyone at the field comments on how perfectly powered and what a good flying bird it is...and I don't have to bring all the tackle to the field to fly it...just my gas jug...a chicken stick and my radio.... the DLE is a great engine...all of my future engines will be DLE...I refuel about every 2nd or third flight and I have never deadsticked...I also have two 2500 Mah on-board Life batteries, one for the ignition and one for the radio, so I could probably fly for two days or more without recharging...buy I don't...

I'm just finishing up a Balsa USA Stingray 120, powered by a DLE 20, and will give some feedback when it flies. I understand this is a re-release of a classic kit, so there isn't a lot of current information available, but with a thick symmetrical wing with a lot of span, it looks to be a great fun flyer.

Hey RDJeff you found a KIT even.....thanks for the head's up. I give it some research - how did your assembly go? I remember building a Smoothie by Balsa USA and I think I wore out one shoulder sanding the fuse

But like all BUSA planes, it flew great.

In June of this year, I went to the Balsa USA site and ordered it, and it showed up 4 days later. One of the ailerons was a bit warped and was 3 times heavier than the other, so I had to build my own. Other than that, it was a very easy build!
