Default Recommendations for a .61FX

I have a good .61fx looking for a new home. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good sport plane? I had it in a 4*60 but it was a little underpowered? I was thinking of a Tiger 60. Thanks In advance. Duane

The Four Star 60 is normally an excellent sport plane with a 60 size 2 stroke. But a 3D plane it ain't.

The Tiger 60 is an excellent pattern style sport plane but 3D it ain't.

The the Uktra Sport 60 is a nice all around plane.

Maybe you need a Funtana 40 to put your 61FX in. Now that's 3D.

Enjoy,

Jim

If you can find an Ultra Sport 60 you can't find any better flying sport plane. IMHO this is one of THE best planes ever built. I've got a 61 FX in mine at it will do anything I ask it to.

They're available. just have to look for them. Check the RCU marketplace, they show up there quite a bit. If you don't find one there, there are always someway to find one for those who are resourcefull enough PM me.

I'm with Ken regarding the Ultra Sport -- it would be a killer find. A Florio Flyer 60 is also no slouch, and while it is no longer available, many modellers have plans for the Florio.

Check out the Shoestring, it will add a little vintage style to your line up. Mine flys great on the 61fx.

A 60-size Gremlin is also a serious blast.

I'm with Kfoss here on putting your .61 FX in a Shoestring. Coincidentally, mine was in a Tiger 60 until I bouced it off our barn.

I have a 61 FX on my fun scale Pica T28 and one on my Goldberg Chipmunk. I like them. A Kaos would be nice !

I have one in my .60 size great planes extra 300s. It's minimum recommended engine for that plane, but it flies beautifully with it and has plenty of power for my sportflying needs.
