Try the search part --Foam drones, military drones,Carl Goldberg MIG 27,Just MIG 27,and or carl goldberg MIG 27 drones. Then look for anything that is pertaing to them. There was a lot of older threads on these drones. It was fairly active for a while. There seems to be a lot of these on the east coast, but didn't see to much about them here on the west coast where I am.I had three of them but sold one to a friend.Found a place that has several hundred of them, but it costs an arm and a leg to ship them because of their size.If it was not for that I would have bought 5 or 6 more to play with.I think they are neat planes. the reference i had seen indicated that the f-16s were used to train friend vs. foe. i located this info using the mil designation of FQM 117B for the mig and FQM 117C for the f-16. but there wasn't much in reference to them just thought it would be great to locate one of the f-16s.

As far as I know the FQM-117C or (F-16) friendly target drones were never produced in large quantity. We (RS Systems) maybe made 50-100 of them between 1984-88. I made 2 different sizes, 1/9 for the original contract and a 1/8 which flew much better. We also toyed around with an F-16 XL which would make a great ARF model.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but maybe now's a good time to re-ask this question: does anybody have one of these to sell or know of a place where I could pick one up?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There seem to be quite a few around.Seem to be mostly on the east coast here in the States. You have a respectable collection.I think they are neat planes, and can be made to look realy good without all that much work.

Hi you all,
I have Carl Goldberg MIG 27 Foam Drone that the only part missing in one aileron that is a piece of balsa wood. I have all the parts and manual. It's a really big model and it's not my type of model and therefore I'm thinking on selling it. Anybody interested? I'll update some pictures and this is not a scam. I've been scammed a couple of times and I do not enjoy what they did to me and I WILL NOT SCAM anyone. What you see it's what you get. If you want you can even pick it up.
I know this model is out of production and so I don't have an idea of its value so I'm open to offers. You can send me a Private Message or e-mail me at [email protected]. I'll post some pictures later afternoon.
Thank you
