I am currently flying an Avistar trainer and im bored with it, my landings are very smooth and I can perform all of the beginner stunts in it. I have been flying G3 for over a year now and I have found that I much prefer flying bottom wing airplanes and actually fly them better than the trainers. The Ultra Sport is my favorite plane in the sim but apparently it's not being made any more.

I’m not really into doing crazy aerobatics; I just want to learn the basics. If cost wasn’t an issue than I would go with the tiger 120 hands down as I LOVE big planes, however most of the engines people are putting in them around here put the model above my price range.

I don’t want to spend over 150 on the motor but if that’s not possible I will consider the tiger 60. How would the 60 fly with the .61 ABC Schnuerle engine that tower offers bundled with it? Any suggestions is appreciated.

Check out the Super Tigre G-2300 before you make a decision. She's a 1.41 c.i. engine and a snotty one, too. $149.99 at Tower, possibly less on sale.

Next thought is how do you plan on starting a 1.20 size engine? It takes a beefy electric starter.

Hi good choice with Tiger.

I have a Tiger 60 with the Tower .75 installed and it flies great. I would suggest the .75 over the .61 since they weigh the same and extra power is always nice if you can
manage throttle.

The Tower engine fits fine and runs great I am pleased with it.

Whichever you choose the Tiger is loads of fun.

The Tiger 60 is a VERY stable plane. I've been flying mine with a GMS 61 for about 3 years now. I've used it several times to train children, as recently as last Sunday (Dec 24 - a 7 year old). I recently took delivery of a Tiger 120. I may use a GMS 120 on it (more for weight than power - I've heard they come out tail heavy even with a 120 FS).
