Maybe I am putting to much thought into this but I want something different. Every where you go you see the same old things Yaks, extra's, and so on. Is there nothing a little unique or different. I prefer something in the glow catagory 25 size and up.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

How "different" do you want ?

I have similar tastes in planes and my tastes run from "mild to wild"

I FINALLY found and ordered some plans for a Miles M-38 Messenger and a Miles M-28 Mercury.

Some of my other "unusual" planes include a FW-56 (Stosser), a Bellanca Airbus (circa 1930) and a Transavia PL-12 "Airtruk".

So much for the photos - the "system" there is saying no to posting photos.

If you are not a builder already, it sounds like you are about to become one.

Well you didn't mention if you wanted to build or ARF it.
Or what type of plane you wanted.. 3D, fun Fly, sport scale?

I really like my 40 size Cloud Dancer.. You can get the plans from RCM or get an ACE ARF.

You don't see may of them around, they fly great but the KE is a little weak.. It needs more rudder.

Something different? This plane may not be different but to me it has to be the best looking plane I have ever seen and I have not seen many of them. After I saw my first one (and I think maybe I have seen two more) I decided that some day I would build one. The plane is a SIG Ryan STA.

About 15 years ago I built mine. To date it still draws attention.

Build a kit of anything that's not availible in ARF form and you will have something different...

You commented on Yak's and Extra's so I'm assuming you want something areobatic. Nobody flies Zlin's anymore.

If you want something others don't have you are going to have to build. I just finished a Ultra Sport 40+ with a Super Tiger 90 on the nose. I lengthened the fuse three inches and modified it in a few other places. I like the way it flies with all the power and true tracking. Another great plane is the Patriot 40 with a 90 size motor on board. It requires some building skill to do these kind of projects but the end results are fun. If you really want to stand out though a man will just have to order plans or start from scratch. I have about 15 pound of plans rolled up in a large roll and the other day I unrolled them and was amazed at all the plans I have. Not many people want to go to all the trouble of building anymore hence the planes all look the same.
