Sundowner 50 performance
Hi All,
I am looking for some information on how well the Sundowner 50 flies. How well does it fly? How will it fly with a Saito 82? Will a Saito 82 give it very much power and speed?
All input appreciated from fellow flyers.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Sundowner 50 performance
I wrote [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=1009]this review[/link] of the Sundowner 50 last year. It's an very good plane with excellent aerobatic capabilities for what is meant to be a racer.
A Saito 82 would be an excellent match for it.

RE: Sundowner 50 performance
Nice review. I am just looking for something that would be somewhat fast and slick and nice to fly. I have a U-Can-Do 46 to fly slow and smooth and a Edge 540 to fly a little faster.

I have a Ys 63 in my Sundowner. It has a wide flying envolope great at low and high speed and supprisingly aerobatic, I have small mix of rudder with aileron she flies on rails.
The best Arf I have built to date only let down by the rudder and stab construction which seems at odds with rest of the kit.The Ys 63 is a perfect fit and has more than enough grunt for this aircraft.

Here's a video of my buddy's maiden flight with his Sundowner 50 powered by an old Saito .65 he had:

The H9 Sundowner 50, the GP Revolver, the WM Nemesis, and the WM Barbera Jean all sound like exactly what you're looking for.
