I just wanted to take the opportunity to lend the staff of RCU some support by saying thank you. Thank you for all of you hard work in making this site possible. I can only imagine what you all are going through during this transition. I have read many posts hammering you guys on the form and function of the new RCU and wanted to share my thoughts. RCU has been a tremendous resource for my growth in this hobby. The information, ideas and opinions shared here have been invaluable. Whether it looks and functions like the old site is a moot point to me, it still provides a venue to continue the sharing process. It looks different, its organization is different but the members are still the same (I mean that in a good way [sm=biggrin.gif])…..that is what is important to me.

There are going to be some obstacles as we move into our ‘new house’, but as we move forward, and the issues are resolved, I know I will find this site to be a comfortable place to live. When I first heard about the ‘membership upgrade’ I read many posts scolding the RCU staff for even thinking about this addition to a then (and now) free site. I just looked back at the hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars the information and classifieds on this site had saved me, and I saw this as an opportunity to help support the organization that has provided so much support for me. I don’t pay to go to church on Sundays; I give an offering to support their works and help spread the word. Please don’t flame me for bringing religion into the picture[sm=surprised.gif], I was just trying to make my point. Incase you are wondering, yes… I did upgrade my membership. When I did, I found my entire history at RCU was gone. Was I surprised….yes. Was I upset…..no. It’s just another glitch which I know will be resolved in time. Until then I still have the single greatest resource for RC information here at my disposal.
