There is an option to "view new posts since last visit". How about the same thing, but restricted to the forums you've subscribed to?

Will put on the to do list...good idea..will require some clever programming for efficiency and speed

there is a slight workaround...when the posts are found you can click the forum column to sort and then see more clearly the ones you are interested in
