You recall that a month or two back I had a probelm not being able to select or upload one of the "stock" RCU avatars? Finally figured out why: the avata (floatplane.gif) is 90x62 pixels in size; the forum software likes the size to be 85x85 max. I took the floatplane, clipped it to 85x62, saved it as a JPG and it "woiks poifectly".

Suggestion: you might want to double-check the image sizes of the GIFs in the avatar library.
