Currently, if you move fast, and have a reasonably high speed connection, like I do, you only subliminally see the ads. By the time something catches your attention, it's pretty much gone, maybe forever. What about, instead of ads showing just one time in rotation, they stay up twice? In other words, each ad as it rotates (I assume that's what they do) would show up on two sequential pages. You'd have two chances to see an ad before you had to wait another 20 (or whatever it is) pages for it to come up again. I know this would make ads 100 times more effective for me, and maybe for others as well, without them being any more obtrusive.
More effective ads means happier advertisers, which means more money to support RCU!
Hmmm... I had another idea... The idea above would increase the time it would take for every ad to come up, maybe a Bad Thing. How about a button labeled "Last page's ads" that would recall the ads you just blew by?

Gee.. why don't they just duplicate the ads on both the top and bottoms of the page as well! That way if you scrolled too fast you could see the same ad on the bottom.

you could also go to http://utopia.rcuniverse.com/allsponsors.php to reference any ad you have seen here if something caught your eye.
the sequential idea is programatically a problem.
