why not add a shout box to each forum?

not sure how many would use it...as it is I have a bunch of users telling me I need to simplify and unclutter the site. We simplified our homepage this past week to clean things up so I'm always concerned about adding more stuff especially since a large chunk of RCU members still haven't found all the existing cool stuff on the site.
