I want to suggest a "Hall of Fame sub-forum" idea...

Basically, each forum would have a "Hall of Fame" sub-forum that is read-only. It's a place to easily find old dead threads that users frequently search for. The moderators and administrators would choose which thread are inducted.

I believe that this thread should be frozen (locked, read-only, whatever you call it). The original thread starter is no longer on RCU. New posts to this thread do not contribute to the original topic. I personally search for it often as a reference. I'm sure many others do the same. I hate to see it slip away into history. But what I hate more is people posting "bump" messages to keep it on top of the forum.

Or maybe it should be a FAQ sub-forum. Different name, same idea. Anyways... It's just an idea I'm throwing at you. You guys do what you want with it.
