Is there any chance of getting this turned back on?
It's so frustrating to have an afterthought, then edit within 30 seconds, and have the "edited by" show up.
The Old RCU had at least a 30 second, possibly 60 second grace period. 60-90 seconds would be awesome.
Just an idea. Not sure if asppg is missing this feature, or if it's turned off for some reason or other.

I think our future revision will have this.
We are planning a fairly major upgrade in about 4-6 weeks if all goes as planned. There will be many new features and some bug fixes too. Should be quite a good step forward.

It's just mildly annoying to me, that's all. (On my own posts) Nothing wrong with it, of course.
Among boards which allow edits, the better ones generally have such a grace period.
(And as usual, Marc will likely come through on this, at the next upgrade)
Try as I might to proofread twice, and post once, there seems to always be something
I want to change the wording of, or some formatting problem I want to correct, for neatness.
Sometimes I'll have switched thought trains... and left half a sentence or paragraph unfinished, or something.
It annoys me most when I'm just trying to do a quick "tidying up" before someone responds, I guess.

Didn't it also in the past, give you the option of putting in the reason for the edit? That was kind of nice so you could say something big, like you changed your mind and realized how stupid your post was, versus something like, "I just fixed the spelling".
