I think it would be a good idea for everyone to be required to verify thier identity before becoming a member. It would also be worthwhile to have the persons real name at the bottom of each post. I think it would help with manners. If you posts make you sound like a jerk, all your friends will know how you really are.

A nicwe idea, but can you still prove the info entereed is correct?
I'lll call myself Paul, and I'll say I'm from Montreal, Queebec. But haow can you really prove it?!
Having our 'nicknames', we all learn to use those names instead. Basically teh same thing! and our freinds soon learn who we are. As well, we soon learn who not to trust!
I know that 'Dr_Wogz' guy is juat a silly fool, who likes to misspell teh word 'the'

Seriously, a nice idea, but we all go by our 'online names'. If it is really important, or to show we mean business, we usually will sign with our real name, and someother method of authentication, such as MAAC or AMA number..

We do have a market verification system which works off credit cards and addresses. If you are selling in the market you can require the person who is going to bid on your stuff to be "address verified buyer only". This option exists when placing classifieds OR auctions
