Problem if you lose connection with New Posts

I'm sure someone will let me know if there is a way to do this now, but if not, I'd like to see a way to make forums from a certain date or time new or unread.
There are times, like today, when I click on MYFORUMS and then lose a connection (problem with my computer or service provider--not RCU). When I come back to RCU, instead of all the posts new from the last time I logged in a day ago, I get a list of the new posts since I lost the connection a few minutes ago.
I tried the simple thing of searching for posts a day old containing the letter 'e', but RCU would not let me do that....[&o]
Thanks.

one letter seaches are not permitted. they make no sense in terms of searching and are not indexable.
if you are gone from rcu more than 30 minutes your session is over and the clock reset. you can always go to the homepage welcome panel and click todays post to get the last 24 hours

I tried that and I could get all the posts in the last 24 hours, but I was only interested in getting the new posts in MyForums.
Too much to read, otherwise.
