IRC Channel
Has RCU ever thought about getting an irc channel running? If not that maybe a live java chat? It would be a great way to actually get to know other users and get answers in real time.

Someone inquires every year or two. IRC sucks up a lot of resources, and the RCU folks have chosen to not devote any resources to a chat network.
HOWEVER, there's nothing to prevent you from founding an RC Chat channel on one of the many fine free IRC networks, and posting the server and channel name here.
