Default Expressing Opinion

Recently I expressed my opinion on PaPal. I wasn't happy with it. Someone from RC Universe pulled my post and sent me an email stating some reasons. I posted another in the airplane Q & A with the title "What Do you Think"? It must have been pulled too. In that post, members verbally beat me up saying it's great, and if I have any complaints, I should find some anti-payPal site and post there.

All I wanted to do was get a dialog started. In my case, I sold an engine thru PayPal. I wanted the money right away. The only way they would transfer funds immediately was thru a direct transfer to my bank account. I wasn't going to provide them that number. As an alternative, I requested a check mailed to me. They claimed it would take two weeks max, and charged me $1.50 for the check. Well, that's no different than me asking the seller to send a check. When it clears, I send the product. Same amount of time is elapsed. The difference is PayPal got 3% of the sale price plus another fee for issuing a check. What's the benefit to me? None, unless I provide my account number for an instant transaction, but it still costs 3%. I realize you can have as many opinions as members. The point I was trying to make is PayPal has little value to me.

You at RC Universe need to decide whether you can tolerate opinions other than those generally expressed. I suggest you do. That's waht makes an organization strong.

Default RE: Expressing Opinion

of course we tolerate opinions.

what may have happened on this is that things were getting out of hand in the thread and maybe a mod felt it best to close it out. or perhaps there was some unecessary bashing going on in the thread. I did not see it so can only guess a few of the possibllities.

we have no reason to protect paypal in any way so if something was removed the mods must have had either your best interests at heart, the sites best interest or both.
