Can I suggest an events forum, sub-catorgized by state where CD's and clubs can post their AMA santioned and open events?

I still think it would be nice in forum form sub categorized either by AMA districts or States, It would bet a lot more use!

That would mean adding 50 forums one for each state and one for each event...problem is in forum format somebody will post something now for an event 3 months from now and by the time the event arrives it will be pushed down the list and not seen where a calendar as we have it is not susceptible to this

how about by ama districs, the smart CD's would add threads with additional comments sponsors directions etc to push it to the top when the thread gets closer. Maby a bigger button on the fromt page with a search by AMA distric or search by state function. Then you would see an event calender for only your state or ama district. If this became popular you could even charge a $$ fee $10 or so to advertise an upcoming event. Thanks anyway for consedering my idea, I guess I should have thought it out better.

Well our current calendar can filter just for events in your state...the only "hook" I have not included yet which I certainly could would be to add ama district.

As far as forum format I still think the calendar with it's filters does a nice job...have you tried it yet? It's pretty cool and I custom wrote the filters for the needs of the RC modelers specifically.

looks good, I tried to find Texoma IMAC Chalenge for October 4th/5th but it wasn't listed. Are the events only ones posted by viewers? It would be nice if somebody would look at the events calender for AMA, and place these on the calender, Then somebody could search for example...IMAC events Distric 8 May to November and set it up to e-mail when a new event was santioned. You probably dont have the time to enter all ofd this data and I understand. This is absolutely the best online forum I have ever used. Keep up the good work.
